What Sukanya Ravindhar has to offer

Sukanya Ravindhar is a dedicated and sensitive Archarya, who teaches and trains students in the holistic tradition, designed and developed by her Guru Smt Chitra Visweswaran. Sukanya has completed an advanced teachers training course and an advanced Nattuvangam course and is at present the Director & senior most faculty member at Chidambaram, Academy of Performing Arts (CAPA).

She is also the Centre Head for the ECR Branch of CAPA, wherein she teaches beginners, as well as advanced students.

She has presented several lecture demonstrations on the teaching methodology and also conducted workshops in various schools on the same lines.

Her training in the teaching methodology of International Baccalaureate®, through Grassroots Global School of which she was Founder/Trustee, has inspired and prompted her to bring in new age concepts and promote an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning of the arts.

She has recently visualised and directed a video-dance , Rihat Rama Charitam for the online platform.

Advanced Training in Bharatanatyam

Sukanya teaches natyam, both practical & theory and nattuvangam to advanced students in CAPA.

She also teaches and guides serious minded students from across the globe who would like to further their learning in Bharatanatyam . These classes are tailor made keeping in mind the requirement of the individual student.

Specialised Teaching

Sukanya has brought in a fresh approach to teaching, keeping in mind 21st century challenges, with creativity and confidence thereby building a community of students and artists through international mindedness.

Nattuvangam | Basic and Advanced Training

Since 1993, Sukanya has been performing nattuvangam for her Guru and had the privilege on learning this specialised art, directly, for Smt Chitra Visweswaran . This skill has been honed and developed over the years as she continued to tour with her Guru.

She now teaches and shares this knowledge, with students from CAPA as well as independent students both nationally and internationally
